ugh...no weight loss but no gain. I dont feel like the fact that I have cut out all sugars/junk etc. for the past month has really seen much of a loss. I feel like what works for everyone on earth for some reason isnt working for me.
I have to assume its the wine that is stopping weight loss. ugh. FRUSTRATED.
Im at a loss of what diet would work for me but all i can think is i have to cut out wine completely (ha, who are we kidding) and reduce calories even further!
WTF??????????????????????????????????????????

You are not alone! I started at 162, am at 159 now, and my lowest was 157.5 lbs. I am not losing either! I have cut out all sugars/junk, pasta, bread, potatoes, etc... and where is the weight loss? I don't know. Maybe you were right when you said perhaps it's tough because we both have so little weight to lose. I drink Jameson whiskey instead of wine and I won't cut that out either. I will say that when I walked in front of a full length mirror while I was out yesterday I thought, Wow, I look skinnier! But I am FRUSTRATED with you!!!

WTF indeed. I was reading about the alcohol vs weightloss on a body building site and it was talking about how the alcohol affects your body differently than other calories. I think I googled alcohol and weight loss. In any event, they were saying basically that it can sabotage your efforts. I know, I know, the red wine thing. I love it and I drink it. I have found that if I have 1 glass, I want another, then I start with the eating. So for me it's not only what alcohol does to the body, but also the mindless eating. I am also doing low carb, not much sugar, bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, etc. You will find you groove on the wine thing I'm sure and be able to get your weight moving in the right direction again. Wishing you SUCCESS!!!!

My husband WINE SO GOOD has the same issue, with the exception he is NOT near his weight goal (LOL) I agree with MARIE & LYNN,when one is near their goal weight, loss will naturally slow down. What really determines the # on the scale & changing it is the TYPE of food we eat & how our body reacts to it (as you no doubt know in your occupation)Our body is so much more than a gas tank that can be simply filled with fuel & then run until empty. Its a wonderfully made complex system that actually communicates with the foods we eat IN ORDER TO DETERMINE *how* they should be stored & regulated. So if you have checked for added sugar & so forth that you are limiting or eliminating & its NOT that, have you thought about your fiber intake? Thats the 'magic' that gets things 'moving'(Im sure you know what I mean here)! Consuming carb's from ideal sources, such as veggies,& plenty of water will no doubt get you & the ticker on the scale moving in the desired direction :D
