Slept well last night, no back pain, no frequent wake ups, woke up on own this morning at 8 before alarm

Day is going well, actually don't seem to be as hungry or "craving" food like I was a while back. At least during the day. Packing to Go to texas leave saturday night (a.m. sunday 3 a.m.) and get there middle of the afternoon sunday. only $46 bucks one way ticket but do have to go to little rock to catch the train, but still cheaper, safer and easier than driving and easier and cheaper than flying and I'd still have to drive to LR to get a plane plus all the security checks that are CRAZY plus I can carry lots of luggage and Brenda says is like first class seating on planes not crowded. I haven't made my return ticket yet but will see how long I feel like staying, probably a couple of weeks. David ahs to go to LR to the eagle scout meeting anyway that afternoon so he can just bunk over at Geoffreys for the rest of the night and save a trip!

Looking at some of the SUPER low sodium items in the new cook book, and think I probably need to get a bread machine and start to make my own bread. I think that would let me eat more whole wheat and even oatmeal bread WITHOUT appreciable sodium. According to what I am reading even whole wheat doesn't help cholesterol go down but OATMEAL DOES so I guess it is oatmeal bread from here on and I can handle that just not slimely cooked oats. YUK!

Will go back to the doc after I get back from Texas and get my labs rechecked and all that.. I am really proud of myself for what I've done so far. Well, will go ride my stationary bike for a while, haven't done a lot of stuff today except walking inside house or at computer. L8ter

Hey Joyce! Have a safe trip to Texas and have a nice time there. Getting a bread machine is a great idea to control the sodium. They really put way too much sodium on bread.. oatmeal bread sounds yummy. I am proud of your progress. You're getting healthier! Keep up the great work and enjoy your bike! Happy weekend!
