Stayed in bed from 11:30 p.m. last night until 10 this morning, but woke up every time I had to turn over with a sore back. No pain if I wasn't moving, but when I would move it grabbed me. So woke up hourly at least, but got up and back was FINE! Go figure. I guess that is what happens when I do too much 3 days in a row! LOL

BM+++
No pitting edema but can see where socks are and have not had any lasix in several days, wt at noon in sweats was 198 which I think is up from yesterday (I will have to check) so I may be retaining fluids a bit, but have kept the sodium well below 1500. Got a new cookbook about NO SALT, "lowest sodium cook book" by Donald Gazzaniga he tries to keep his sodium below 500!!! (he was on a heart transplant list before he cut his sodium and got off the transplant list because he was so improved!) This guy counts sodium in less than 1 mg amounts! He also has to make his own bread but lists some cheeses that are low salt.

Went ahead and took a lasix 40 mg and a K+ (2 p.m.) as yesterday wt was 195 in same clothes and will check my weight later before I go to bed.

BP 113/59 and pulse of 61 at time I took lasix.

I also ordered two of the three American Heart Association books I had borrowed from Smoke. One has arrived and I am sure the other will shortly.

Sorry you didn't sleep well, try not to work so hard at one time. But I know working with meat you can't let it sit too long. Take care.....Bren

Yea, We made it while the weather was PERFECT, but on Sunday after we finished it got up above 45 degrees. I put the dog food scraps in monday morning after the night had been below freezing. I can't believe how warm it got today, it was wonderful out. We worked on plumbing today, that is the "royal" we, my son did it and I watched. My back was hurting every time I turned over during the night, just old age grousing! LOL But has been fine later today. Kitchen is a mess as we had to take the sink out and redo some plumbing, and can't clean it up until it has had time to dry out under the sink. Had a really good roast, and took half of it with the taters and warmed up in the crock pot, the other half I have on the stove with more veggies making stew! Cooking done for the week!

Thats what I do when I make stew, I make enough to last a couple of days. Any thing to get out of cooking. I was just not born with that gene. Have a good evening Joyce....bren
