Okay been sick last week...ugh...and DH 'cooked' need I say more?

Anyway, yesterday my carbs back under control. I am not going to focus on my calories right now; just on keeping the carbs in control. One thing at a time to getting back on track.

Oh and then there was added stress. The only person in DH family that invited us for Thanksgiving dinner was his nephew and his wife (they invited us to her parents house and we are friends with them). We accepted. First Thanksgiving alone (daughter didn't get to come home). Well DH sister and family got all BENT out of shape because we spent Thanksgiving with his nephew and wife and her family. So we had confrontations last week about that. I have never seen anything like it. I think Christmas we will spend it at home alone. I will cook a ham for us and make DH jello salad that he likes and just keep to ourselves. We were invited back for Christmas before we left on Thanksgiving but too much drama. I am just disgusted.

Good to see you back Jaime, families, what a slice. So did this bother the nephew and his wife or her family? Did it bother you and DH to be there? Why in the world would you even listen to the rest of them, what's the reason they weren't invited in the first place? Don't let others rule your life, you only get 1 and while it's a pain to have to hear them is it really worth denying yourself some fun? Perhaps if you show them they can't stop you they'll think twice next time about creating the problem and might, just might, get an invitation themselves. Amazing how adults can act like hormone induced teens so often. You wouldn't let a teen get their way when they are being stupid and there certainly is no reason to give in to a jealous ridden adult! Live your life for you, the others have the enjoyment of caring for themselves and answering for it. Been in your shoes, believe me, as long as you let them win with their whining the longer it'll go on and it'll just get stupider with each occasion being more trivial than the one before until you decide it's your life, they all need to just butt out of it and let you live it. When you arrive at the pearly gates it'll only be you to answer for what you've done. If you've lived to the best of your ability then it won't be a problem will it?
