Rob.c.weiss's Journal, 04 December 2013

I picked up a new phone on "Cyber Monday" ... a Galaxy Note 3. :D Woo hoo! I'm a huge tech guy -- a computer programmer -- and I love this kind of thing. The funny part is I spent 5 hours last night configuring it the way I want it, installing apps, loading on music and stuff. I didn't even think about snacks or food once. I didn't have to struggle and tell myself "no more" of something, because it never even occurred to me to get anything. Hah!

In fact, I ended up pretty low on calories yesterday (maybe even too low) because the night-time snacks I plan for I didn't end up getting.

Anyway, it worked out great! I'm down to 236 this morning, and only 11 pounds away from my major goal of 225. When I started, I could only hope I'd be this close to 225. In fact, when I started, I figured if I could at least get to 225 I'd be thrilled, almost as if it was the best I figured I *might* be able to do. But now I know I can get lower. I can do better. There will be other goals after that. I'll be looking for 180 soon.

Yes you can, you can go as low as you want to, you are doing amazing. And I'm not surprised you managed to get through the evening without thinking about food. When our minds are busy and engaged, when we are in a zone, we don't think about food at all. My night time issues are because I am tired and bored. Can't wait for you to redo your goal weight. Sky's the limit Rob :)

Thanks Rob, I'm excited to get to eat more :) I downloaded the Carson Chow thingie, the amount of cals I should eat and the expected weight loss, etc. I'm so not techy, and so not good at maths I figured I would keep a track of calories consumed vs calories I'm supposed to consume to see if I can 'bank' some for trouble times. I'm excited too. Isn't FS a great place :) And BP is such a great support to us both, as are our other buddies. Your before/during pics are fab :)

Thanks so much, GTM!!! :D Hey, Bill. I didn't realize you were in IT too! Ahh, we the cursed. We may have to swap IT stories before too long. Hah! But thanks for the 225 tip. Oh, I'm so impatient for it... now just 10 lbs away. I'm with you, 180 is my true goal. I'm only 5'9" so I may dial that down a little when I get there. 170? Anyway, "cross that bridge when", and all that.
