Cut back on fat with meals that have a lot of carbohydrate. No grains, no sugars, no Legumes, very little dairy (cheese and a little Greek yogurt).

Insulin needs have gone down considerably, and weight has dropped in conjunction.
178.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
