Nicole Rayne 's Journal, 30 November 2010

Hey all!
It's been a while since I have posted anything....man, I have been through the ringer...let me tell ya!
I started with the Belly Fat Cure (BFC), lost 13 lbs, hit a plateau and then decided to try Carb Cycling which was about a waste of a whole month! I didn't lose a single pound! WTH?
So now I don't know what I am doing! I am just trying to eat well 95% of the time but I am tired of killing myself for measly results so....if I want a piece of cake, I'm having it! I will just add some activity into my day or maybe just cut calories elsewhere.
As for the BFC's stringent no more than 15 g per sugar a day....Jorge Cruz can stick it! LOL! that is BEYOND ridiculous. I did that for 17 weeks and lost only 13 lbs. It is NOT a miracle cure and it made me miserable and cranky and very boring to be around too!
Now I do the best I can and just don't beat myself up about it. I am nowhere NEAR obese. I am striving for extremely low body fat but maybe I am just not cut out to be that thin. I am 5'7" and around 135-140 lbs (don't know....haven't weighed myself in WEEKS!) but I think I am lucky to be as thin as I am for my age (38) so....while I am not completely done with the diet, I am going to cut myself some slack. I am who I am....that's the way it's gonna have to be.

Sister, I hear you! I tried BFC for a few months - while I think the principle of limiting sugar is good and seems to work for my body...I can't take the strict 15g rule. I did well in keeping within moderate limits on sugar - allowing myself natural sugar foods (like fruits and veggies) and created my own plan. Like you, I try to eat right the majority of the time...but occassionally eat something bad. While I have fallen off the wagon (stress, work, etc)...I think we have to come to grips with food and learn how to deal with it on a daily basis. Based on your height and weight - you seem to be right on target. Keep up the good work.

Good for you!!! Sounds like you're in control now. 38 years old you look like you're 19!!!I think you got the whole thing figured out I'm riding your bandwagon for sure!

It seems that your goal of 125 is a little low for your height and age... Be careful! I am 5'7" and 45... When I was 18-23 I could carry 130-140 at a size 6 with a knock out figure. When I was 28 and had had kids, when I got down to 136 again, Everyone thought I was anorexic. I had to maintain 150 to look decent. But that's just me.. I think you look amazing and would LOVE to look like you do. Oh and for belly fat... I don't know what the Belly fat diet is, but the low carb atkins style I do dropped 22 lbs seemingly all from my belly in 5 weeks. you might look at atkins induction for a couple weeks...
