Back from vacation in sunny Cancun... What a wonderful time with the family! It's kinda hard to stick to the "plan" when surrounded by all that fresh tropical fruit and other goodies...but I did eat sensibly and got a lot of exercise. Put on just a few pounds and I expect I will lose them this week. It was nice hearing my mom sincerely compliment me on my progress. And after a day or so of being "off plan" I could really feel the difference -- oh, my - how much I prefer sticking to a lowcarb lifestyle! I feel so much more energetic without eating all those carbs and sugar. I am looking forward to getting back in the game and I am happy to reconnect with my supportive friends here on FS.... Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!

Sounds like you had a great time. Isn't it amazing what a few days off plan makes you feel like. I guess it is just added incentive to stick with it. I'm sure those "few pounds" will come off in no time!!

Evie you're the inspiration for my journal today honk, honk and I am so very happy you are back home happy and safe! I'm Shaking off my tail feathers and am getting ready to take off into a new work week. Why fly with the Turkey's when we can soar with the Eagles? So happy to hear you had a great vacation. Glad you have returned to us safely. I know what you mean about the fresh fruits. They are my weakness. I've just added a bit back in every now and again. I only wish I could eat a whole apple or pear. I need to stop talking about it, otherwise I will need to have some.lol We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was the best I have had in about 7 years, thanks to Stef. So glad to have you back.:):)

Thank you so very kindly for the warm repsonse to my journal! Ya'll are precious! And Lisa, I had read your journal and kinda thought we had the "bird thing" going on! Cute!! Honk honk! Laurie, what is it you made that made your Thanksgiving meal so WOW?!! I am dying to know - as I have a Christmas feast that I must prepare! Stef, thank you for your support and cheers! I am happy to report that the Cancun #s are already gone - must've been water weight. YAY!! It helped that I fasted Sunday night and Monday night as I am praying about a critical need. Want2, thank you for your confidence and cheers, too. And you are quite right - the sluggish feeling is sure motivation to get back on the plan and stick with it for LIFE! :D I also feel happy that a 2nd person (from church) commented on my WL, seeing a difference. That made me feel so good! Sandy, I am happy for your continued progress! Love to you all - :D

Laurie, as much as I appreciate your kind words, you are the reason that your Thanksgiving was the best in years. By taking back your joy, you determined how it would go, and there was only one person who could do that...YOU! Now on to Christmas, and the best in years!
