This forum post ovee at catkins.com had an interesting diff in the ladder

Right...what I was referring to was JenniferK's post, which both kcronin and rajingbull were kind enough to post for me (above). In her post about the carbohydrate ladder, she wrote the following, showing the comparison between the old carbohydrate ladder in Dr. Atkins' book, and the new ladder included in the 2007 version of the program:

The Carbohydrate Ladder (DANDR, 2002):
1. More salad and other vegetables on the acceptable food list.
2. Fresh cheeses (as well as more aged cheese)
3. Seeds and nuts
4. Berries/melon
5. Wine and other spirits low in carbs
6. Legumes
7. Fruits other than berries/melon
8. Starch vegetables
9. Whole grains

The Carbohydrate Ladder (The All-New Atkins Advantage, 2007):
1. Salad and other low-glycemic vegetables.
2. Seeds and nuts
3. Berries
4. Legumes
5. Fruits other than berries
6. Starchy vegetables
7. Whole grains

Note that in the original ladder, wine and other low-carb alcohol was rung 5, and in the newest ladder, alcohol is not even mentioned.
