Went to my sister's place for Thanksgiving. Things went well. I realize I am going to miss out by not having kids of my own. But that is the way things are. One of my great nephews is eight now and can never have kids and he'll see me as a role model as I can't either. They bring such joy and wonderment into a household. My young niece - nine, and three great nephews - nine, eight and one, and a newborn great niece will be the closest I'll have to children. And the rate my second adult niece is going there will be many more. There's also another adult niece and an adult nephew. Of course they're all doing financially better than me, but that's OK that they might be homeowners, etc. I'm 46, and so many of my young friends of the past fourteen years have passed from sudden illnesses after I've been out of contact for them for some time so I'm just grateful to be here. I'm not better than anyone else but am taking care of myself and will go back on induction on Saturday. Exercise may be a problem with arthritis. I can stretch at least. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I had some sweets but don't feel overly stuffed! Glenn :) P.S. Totally cheated of course with potatoes, gravies, desserts, cranberry relish w/orange etc. Tomorrow restart. Will do weigh in I'm sure with weight gain. But Saturdays I do a 24 hour fast now weekly. So it'll be easy to go back on induction after that. My mom complimented me today by saying I was very thin now. That made me feel good. Still have to get to 185 I think as I lost a lot of this weight by April and my face is still puffy. Someone wrote it'll take time to lose that "puffy look". Of course I don't want to get too thin as one gets older they can look drawn. I know a woman who lost a dramatic amount of weight in like a year - stomach stapling perhaps? - I never found out how - nor did I ask it wasn't my business. She looked good but needed ten pounds more on her as she lost too much in her face. So as one gets older too thin isn't good nor is overweight as being heavy causes lots of health problems... :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Glenn! I overdid it today too. I'll be right with you tomorrow getting back on track! Glad you had a good time with your family! :)
