Good report at the doc this am. She has been checking my blood work every 3 months and keeping an eye on my weight loss. I get a copy of my blood work and then track it at home on an excel spreadsheet so I can see where I have been and can plan where I am going.
So, a couple of things...I have been on blood pressure and triglyceride lowering meds for about a year now. Things look better but not good enough yet to get off the meds. Will see her in 6 months so gotta stay on the meds, loose some more lbs, increase the exercise and then maybe she can get me off those. Fingers crossed. All is on track.
Busy day working at home, confirmed my parents are coming for turkey day, gotta start to plan the menu on paper. Got it all in my head but need to gather up the recipes I need and start shopping list. Love the holidays. Putting up x-mas lights outside this weekend. Sounds like snow again by Thursday. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

A good docto's report is a great way to start the weekend. Good for you! How nice you will be able to see your parents for the holiday. I am going to my cousins for Thanksgiving so no cooking for me and for that I am thankful. Enjoy your Friday!!

Yay for good Drs visits! I am glad to hear things are falling into place in your health. Hopefully your next visit leads towards NO meds that would be awesome!

Yay for a good Doc visit!! :D A great way to start the day. :) The next time I'm at my mom's I'm going to start hauling my xmas decor back up to my house for the holidays. It's good to get the shopping in as early as possible for Turkey day. I might make something to take this year. But My mom and aunts have the feast covered and organized by now. lol. Me and my sister was talking about an experiment with gelatin, yogurt, graham cracker crust.. lol, but we'll see. ^.^ I love snow! :D Lucky you!

Great news on the health front!! You are doing fantastic! We are all going to my sister's house for Turkey day. We got the gutter and house front lights put up this week, and will work on the rest next week. Sure do wish we were in the snow band already, but not yet...it has been in the 70's for the last week. But that is due to change next week, although still not terribly cold. A little rain (which we desperately need), then highs in the 50's, lows in the 30's. Sure am hoping it gets cold enough for snow soon. Have a a great time putting up the lights. And please, pictures!!!

Nice to meet you healthybabs, to answer your question from Chatty Cathys journal I eat the Japanese persimmons like an apple, they are delightful to me, but people either hate them or love them because of their texture but they are fabulously sweet and not bitter like their cooking buddy "The other Persimmon"...Happy Autumn seasonal food finds to you! TOWANDA!!!!!!!!
