I really don't want to jinx myself by saying (typing) this out loud, but the scale said 150.4 this morning!! I'm soooo close to dipping below 150. That's total motivation to stay on track. Tuesday is my official weigh in, so I've got plenty of time to get there (or to cheat...)

That's awesome girl! Keep it up! Cheating is only cheating if you are being unfair. And the only person you are being unfair to is yourself. So just remember, with every decision, are you being fair to yourself. That's on both sides of the coin. In restriction and indulgence. Be kind, be fair. And be human. It will work. It is working!

Thanks - of course the next day I was one pound up and my trainer did an entire evaluation on me. My percent body fat was high...so...kind of discouraging. I guess it's not a race though. I'll keep going week after week and eating as healthy as possible and the weight will come off.

how high is high? And more importantly, how did they measure the bf %? If they used electrical impedence then if you were at all dehydrated it would affect that measurement a lot. And it will come off. It IS COMING OFF. just look at your weight history chart. It's a steady decline. That's something important to keep in mind. You are making progress. It's just hard not to want it gone NOW once you make up your mind that you want it to be so. I am in the same boat right now. I finally got mad about gaining weight back and wanted to fix it. But then I wanted it fixed like, yesterday. I have to remember how long it took to get to this point.

It was 37.8% high! Ugh. He used a handheld thingy to measure it. I know that percentage will come down as the weight comes off, but it was still really discouraging. I know exactly what you mean about wanting it off yesterday. I'm impatient because it wasn't that long ago that I was 135 lbs and way fitter. But there really isn't any rush (except I'm going to the Bahamas next summer with my family - but plenty of time to lose the weight before then).
