Sandy701's Journal, 23 September 2013

I had to break out the UGH Index again this morning. I thought it had been safe to retire the Index for the year, but apparently NOT! UGH Index about an 8. My Lab walked 1.5 miles, the Collie 2.6 miles and I did the full 3.1 miles. I felt tired today.

I headed off to my volunteering at the thrift shop this afternoon and, boy, I was in constant motion. Was nothing in the right place???? Tons of clothes on the floor, thrown over the racks, and piling up outside the fitting rooms. Even when I began bringing new items out, the "organization" of the items in the back room was WAY out of whack.....men's clothing amongst the kids and women's, sizes WAY off, etc. It was a mess! A certain amount of disorganization is par for the course, but this amount was off the charts.

Tomorrow night, DH and I have a dinner to go to. It's a catered event, so who knows what's on the menu. We'll just go with the flow and do our best.

Tomorrow morning may be a washout from a rain system, so my exercise is likely to be a bit different. We'll see how that goes, as well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 23 September 2013:
1846 kcal Activities & Exercise: Walking (exercise) - 3.5/mph - 53 minutes, Resting - 15 hours and 7 minutes, Sleeping - 8 hours. more...

We've been having chilly mornings. What a difference being a few states away can make. As for the Thrift Store - I can just imagine the chaos! Hope there is more than just you that they count on to organize. Best of luck at your dinner tomorrow.

Morning, sorry you had to resurrect the UGH meter :) And don't worry about weighing in, keep your blue line as long as possible. You will get back to where you want to be, I am confident in that. Enjoy your dinner. You have been doing this long enough you know what you can and cant' 'get away with' lol.

Buffy, DH is getting all excited for an overnight low in the 60's coming up later this week (supposedly...LOL!) so he can open the windows at night. As far as I'm concerned, without a pool heater, those overnight lows in the 60's means an end to swimming for the season. :(

Bren, I always try to get things straightened up as quickly as possible. It seems odd, but when customers see things in good order, they tend to keep them that way. But when too many clothes are on the floor, thrown over racks, etc., then customers seem to follow suit.....and the mess gets worse and worse! So, the sooner I can restore a bit of order, the more likely it will stay that way the rest of the day. Hope you've got some sunshine today.

Issy, I may have a pretty good idea what I can/cannot get away with. The only trouble is following what I know! LOL!

At least you have customers coming in, call it job security, right? I just had to smile at your DH getting exicted about opening the windows at night @ 60's. Such a difference. Our nights have been in the 40's lagely...brrrr, no snow yet though, still even @ 60's it can be snuggle weather!
