I'm just not happy with my progress. I am thrilled my weight isn't up. But, I really would like to see me losing closer to 2 pounds a week. I have been consuming more calories now. But, I am getting in a lot more miles. I walked 5.23 miles last night alone. Errggh. I have not switched up to 2 a days yet. I do feel that will help tremendously. I guess I was just really hoping to be down to 215 lbs by October 2nd. Losing 10 pounds in the next 9 days is just really not realistic (even with 2 a days). Maybe I will be lucky enough to make it to 219 though. The extra momentum from breaking through into the teens will be pretty delightful. I just worry that my weight loss has slowed so much. What if I stop losing weight? Even with all the walking/running/exercising/calorie counting. What if after I do all that and put forth so much effort, I am stuck. I think I have the crazies going in my head today. I will get in about 4 miles tonight I think on the walk and maybe I will spend an hour or so with WII dance or Zumba. I think I need something to shake up my exercise a tad. Anyway...back to work now!

Some times your body gets used to a certain routine and gets a little grumpy and you quit losing. Just mix up your exercises! Do different combinations. You could also be building some leg muscles, and that is what you want. Your lean muscle mass and larger muscles burn fat more efficiently. You may even level off at some point, and stay there for a little bit. Don't get upset or worry. that is only natural. You will be fine 2MC.!!!

You may be correct on building muscle. I noticed that in the past month, my upper thigh has decreased about an inch and a half. I am doing a ton of hills. I think sometimes when I just start looking at how far I have to go, the panic sets in. Tonight I am going to dance a little in addition to doing my walk/jog. I am going to just try a little harder and hopefully when I weigh next Monday I will see a lot more movement on the scales.

As long as you consume healthy nutritional calories at a decreased amount compared to your energy you will continue to lose. Think about it this way... wouldn't 52 easy pounds, one a week, be great a year from now without so much stress and frustration? Give it time.
