I wish I could have stayed in bed today. It's rainy outside and I was sleeping so well, it would have been wonderful to stay in bed a couple more hours, but it wasn't meant to be. I shut my alarm off and then fell back to sleep, so no workout this morning, but I'm hoping I can get it done after work. My hubby and son were going to be at football practice this evening so I was going to do it then, but now that it's raining I'm sure that won't be going. I did get my workout done last night. I got home and dinner wasn't cooking, so before my hubby or kids could say anything I changed and did my workout. I'm going to try that again today and I should get home a little earlier, so hopefully that hour workout won't push too far into dinner time.

I had another feeling old moment the other day because my daughter came home and said their first school dance is this Friday. She doesn't think she's going to go to the dance. She has volleyball practice before it and just isn't sure about a dance. I told her to talk to her friends and see who's going and maybe they can go together. We'll see. Nothing makes you feel older than your kids growing up.

Happy Friday Eve!!

I haven't got to that point yet! I was just thrilled that my daughter said "I love you mommy" without prompting last night. It made my whole night.

Awe, they grow up quick that's for sure! If dinner is interfereing with workout time you should look into crock pot recipes. I use my crock pot a few times a week, it is an amazing time saver. We don't have any sunshine here today either, such blah weather its hard to get motivated. Have a good one! :-)

Dinner isn't really the problem because luckily my hubby will jump in and make it if he needs to, it's more the time. The kids and my hubby are home after 3:30 and when I get home around 5, they want dinner, but if I workout it's 6 before we're cooking (or eating if my hubby cooks). Well, my hubby has a rule that the kids can't have a snack if they don't get their chores done, I don't like that rule because they're hungry when they get home, so give them a piece of fruit or something. And, he works nights and doesn't wake up until 3, so a lot of times he won't eat until dinner. If I could wake myself up in the mornings to workout it would be much easier. :)

I'd love to get back into working out in the morning, but my heart just isn't into it. I noticed that between 8 and 9 in the evening I usually veg out and the kids are showering or playing. I used to work out during this time and really enjoyed it so last night I did my workout at 8:15 and was done in time to watch Duck Dynasty with the family and read with the kids before bed. Kid's grow up so fast!
