This is crazy! I put new batteries in the scale yesterday, but didn't get on it because I had already eaten breakfast, and it was mid-day. This morning, I get on the scale, dreading the fact that I didn't do very well over the weekend. 241.0 lbs.! I knew that couldn't be right; something was wrong with the scale. 5 times, I got on the scale with exactly the same results. Hmmm. This time I picked up the trash can and a basket of DW's lotions and got back on the scale. 245.0 lbs. So, OK, the scale is responding to a difference. After I got dressed, I decided that, after I put on my full attire for work - safety shoes and everything - I will weigh again on the scales at home, and then again on the scale at work to compare. 248.0 lbs. at home. I get to work and weigh-in on the scale at 248.0 lbs. The nurse tells me the scale in the clinic was just calibrated. My home scale is accurate. Holy Moley; 241.0 lbs. My motivation is back. Even though I spiked to 251.0 right after I started back up, at 249.0, I am considering my starting weight at 249.0. That's an 8.0 lb. drop since the 14th. I guess those treadmill workouts were doing more for me than I thought. I'm psyched! Even if it's a fluke, it's a good morale booster. I was getting a little lackadaisical after my experience with the Pagoda this weekend.

I didn't do much yesterday. Washed one of the motorcycles, and the dog. Ran a few errands. Very hot and humid! Going to be about 93 today and 96 tomorrow with a heat index of around 104. I plan a good workout on the treadmill tonight, but other than that, who knows. Here's hoping all my FS Buddies have a wonderful and comfortable day. But not too comfortable; get that heart pumping! Toodles!

DK, I was wondering if your Pergola from Sears was the same one that we bought last year. It took two of us to put that up and a few hours. I doubt I save the instructions ... but want me to look? Did you even get your instructions? Well done on dropping off the weight!!!! Awesome!

Sandy, I was able to download the instructions off of Sears website. The manual says it should take 6 people to install it, so I figure I can do it myself. :) I haven't heard back from Sears yet, but that doesn't surprise me, they aren't the quickest to respond concerning complaints. Not as bad as Verizon though! :) When we find the receipt, I will probably respond to the store up close and personal.

DK, you crack me up! We have been enjoying our pergola. The shade helps if we want to use the back deck. Just have to keep moving our chairs around in the shaded area as the sun moves during the day. It looks great too on our deck! Good luck getting the thing up!
