We're leaving for our long weekend trip to the Blue Ridge Mtns tomorrow morning. I'm excited -- and feeling so much better from the cold. The zinc really did help. I'm hoping we'll see lots of gorgeous fall color. Mr Coco is going to Mississippi to pick up his mom today so she can go with us. She loves to travel, but has gotten a little too dotty and frail to do much on her own. I know we will be eating some sinful things, but moderation is the key. And no donuts!
171.8 lb Lost so far: 40.2 lb.    Still to go: 21.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

A lot of times your major food chains have a deli where you can buy some healthy choices, like a roasted chicken, or a low fat club sandwich. It might be better to go that way instead of the oversized portions in a restaurant. Also, make breakfast your restaurant time. You will be more likely to burn off extra calories eaten then. Even bacon and eggs can be OK, if you ask for crisp-fried bacon (or better Canadian bacon or lean ham), and don't get hash browns or sausages - they are grease-sponges.

OH! For most of my life I lived 45 minutes from the Blue Ridge. I'M SO HOMESICK!!! Have fun for me and stop at every overlook to enjoy the view.
