I can do this...I can do this...I can do this!
A small weight loss is better than no weight loss.
Small things add up and eventually become a big thing.
Patience, patience and more patience.

Since I started I am on average losing about 2 lbs per week. Hubby that has lost over 60 lbs since last fall says he did it averaging 1.8 lbs per week. So I am ahead of him on weight loss per week...but I have more than double of what he had to lose to get to maintenance. He tells me slow and steady is the way to lose...but of course I want to be able to be down to my goal weight in a blink of the eye.

Eye opener was when saw father in hospital and he looked thinner than he has been. I asked sister if he had lost weight. She said he was at about 265 lbs. I weigh more than my father! He is over 6' tall which I am 5'8". He is a big man but looks smaller than he was when he went into the nursing home. This is a MAJOR motivator for me. I can't weigh more than my father! If I look to others like he looks to me...it isn't good. You have to know also that my father was always around 180 and very slender while I was growing up. I would guess at his heaviest he was over 300 lbs. after he retired. He has lost all of his muscle tone and is very weak now. He used to fill, pick up and stack 50lb feed bags all day long, now he sits in bed, power recliner or wheelchair at all times. I can still move so I need to kick my a** in gear and take care of business.

I still want this process to go faster...

Sorry~just rambling thoughts today.

I understand that so well. :) We all want it to go faster! But, for me I didn't gain it overnight so it isn't going away overnight either. So, I keep plugging along.....

We all want it to go faster, much faster! But the small weekly loss accumulates into something big that we can be really proud of. This whole time I think the biggest loss I've gotten a week has been four pounds, and that's very rare! You ARE doing this, be proud :-)
