So here we are in the final week of the 20 Carb Challenge. GO RUBIPHIRES!!
I think I’m going through some withdrawl from all the artificial sweetner I had in the last few days. While at the river, everyone made all sorts of good stuff. Which made me resort to the sugar free candies, splenda and cream….etc. I also drank a lot of diet soda, which is really unusual for me. I stayed within the carb range, but not without a struggle and sugar substitute overload. I had a headache all day today. I just couldn’t shake it. I know it’s from all the chemicals I put in my body. Tomorrow will be a better day.
My personal goal for the week is to rejoin a gym. I did a little research today on health clubs in the area. I visited one today and am going to two more tomorrow. I have to like the atmosphere and feel comfortable there or otherwise I won’t go. I will join one by the end of the week. I have realized, since quitting Curves back in the spring, that I’m not the kind of person that can just go outside and walk and get my exercise. I really need that discipline of going TO a place. I love taking nature walks, but the weather has to be right and I have to be in the right mood, etc. So it’s just not a consistent enough way for me to get my exercise.
I'm also back to writing what I eat here - I don't know why, but its so much easier than writing it on a scrap of paper around the house (which I keep losing!!!).
I hope everyone had a great day. I’m off to peruse some other journals and leave my insightful comments all around!!! Ha! ________________________________________

You're keepin' those carbs down I see!! Lookin' good =) I really hope you find a gym that feels like "home" to ya... I know that can be frustrating when you're not comfortable and your workouts won't be top notch if you feel outta place. Good luck & let us know when you find one and what you like about it!

What control on those carbs!!! I am the same way about the gym/workout, have to go the "workout place", have to put the "workout" on the calendar/schedule, written in stone or I run out of time and don't get it done. Let us know about the gym, maybe your success will get me off my duff and back to the pool. :) ~Deb

I like going TO a place too. I tried home exercise for about a year (took me that long to admit it wasn't working, lol)
