kingkeld's Journal, 14 July 2013

Good morning, FS buddies and friends!

Just a short journal today - I'm heading to work at the gym in a few moments, but wanted to check it first.

Yesterday went (almost) according to plan.

Dinner plans were changed, as we didn't feel like cooking, so we ended up ordering pizza. Oh, the wonders of Indulgence Days! I love love that I can do this and be 100% okay with it, and easily fit it onto my food diary without messing anything up.

I ended up at 3600 calories. It's an insane number in some ways, but all according to plan. I need to have the calorie intake HIGHER than my burn for a day, to keep things going.

The burn was definitely higher, as yesterday was a quiet, and reasonably inactive day. I didn't meet my calorie burn goal - I was short by a couple of hundred calories, but I did meet my "active minutes", my "steps" and my "kilometers" goals. Take a look.

...

So, if anything, last week showed me that it's efficient to NOT go too low on my calorie intake. Basically, if I behave as I am supposed to today - not go over 2000 calories - then I will end up with a 3500 calorie deficit through the week. I dropped 6½ kilos by yesterday, but I suppose it's fair to put 3½ of those back after yesterday's Indulgence Day, and compared to one week ago today, I am three kilos down. That's still GREAT!

It just shows me that I'm doing well.

...

Today, I'll be working at the gym. Wife and I will be going one hour earl, work out and have a cup of coffee before I open to the public. That way my workout is done, and I have a clean conscience on that.

I hope to be able to do the elliptical throughout the day. It's vacation time here in my little down, and it's a DEAD time at the gym. I'd be surprised if I can't squeeze in 15 minutes here and there. I'll try. If I feel that I haven't moved enough, I'll walk a few kilometers coming home from work.

...

I'm gonna try to make today reasonably low in calories. I feel kinda "bleh" after yesterdays big eating. I feel that I ate too much, and that I need to compensate a little. It's nice to know that I STILL have 2000 calories available if I'd like 'em, but I think I'll be fine with much less.

The food plan? Skipping breakfast. Skipping lunch. If I get hungry through the work day - which I probably won't - I'll be eating apples. Binge on apple - I dare ya! LOL.

So all in all, it's gonna be a good day. I'll be home from the gym about 3 PM, have plenty of time to relax, and to refuel for the week to come.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Indulgence Day well spent!
- Working the gym!
- Early workout with Wife!
- Morning coffee!

Life is good!

Good morning, I am up too early but missed you already as you had an early start for the gym. I know your weight fluctates because of indulgence day, etc but I hate those upflucs for myself. I had pizza yesterday too, as part of my indulgence day. I had no trouble eating the extra calories but there is part of my mind screaming at me that this isn't the way to do this :) So today Sunday will be back to normal calories and weigh in on Monday and see what happens. LOL on binging on apples - funny guy. My daily calories, 1200, is a bit less than I've been doing but I am going to try incorporating foods I've missed for a while, mainly fruit and yogurt. I really missed them. So that excites me. Glad you enjoyed your lazy day and I am sure you will make up for that today. Enjoy whatever you get up to today, apart from work, as it is Sunday and you should have some of the day free after the gym. See you later or perhaps Monday :)

wow, 3500 calories requires some serious working out. Hope things find you well in Europe. Our summer has been rainy in the Northeast USA, I am in western Massachusetts.
