Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 19 June 2013

I think my plans to move my eliptical into the bedroom where it would taunt me are on hold for a few days. Crap. Hubby got nailed in the shin moving a heifer out to the pen pack and he has a giant lump on his leg now. Last night I tackled him to the couch with an ice pack so no furniture moving for us. That's ok though. I can still use it. I just have to stop thinking of this as a reason to hold off using it. No more excuses. None. Nada. I'm getting twiggy dang it. Plus.. with baby fever hitting fatsecret it makes me a lil sad. I want another one! My little man isn't a baby anymore. The sitter keeps trying to convince me he needs to get over his sippy cup hatred. Yesterday.. she talked about potty training next summer!! Seriously? This is my baby. Shut up woman! At the same time I keep thinking the more I lose this time the less I have to lose next time. So? It's time to get healthy! If a baby comes then a baby comes. Until then.. little man is my baby.

Eating? I could have done better and I will do better today. Darn hubby and his tendancy to throw irresistably bad food into the cart when we go grocery shopping. We had ribs and you can't have ribs without baked beans. And you can't have ribs without giving one to the little man and watch him mosh away like a cave man while the dogs drool all over the floor watching him. Little man is officially a bbq lover. Is there such a thing as healthy bbq?

Tonight is going to be nuts. This morning I got hubbies list of things he's going to do and it's insane. It's going to mean a late night in the barn because I will be doing the majority of the chores while he works in the field. It's good though. Chores burn calories. Hyperventilating because a cow wants to kill me and I can't tell hubby "You get that one." I think burns more calories. Chasing kids and calves at the same time again.. burns calories. Now so long as I avoid the cake, ice cream, and freezer pizza that will be calling to me when this is all done.. well then I will be golden. If I manage to workout too after little man is in bed? Well then I'm wonder woman. I'm going to be wonder woman. She could kick butt and look good in tights.

All those barn chores are probably a better workout than the elliptical. Sounds like a lot of calorie burn! I wanted another baby until my son was about 3, then he was getting independent and it was so much easier that the thought of going through it all over seemed too hard. Plus, my hubby didn't want another, so I couldn't just have another one on my own. Now, with the kids being 8 and 11 I kind of wish we would have had a 3rd, but I know that financially we would have been pushing it and wouldn't have a lot of the things we have now, like our house that I love. If you are planning on having another baby, get healthy now! I've heard it makes pregnancy and the birth much easier and it's easier to lose the weight afterward.

Lil man will always be your baby! My lil man is almost 8 and he's still mama's baby. . . not in public or when I drop him off at school, but at home he's still up for hugs and holding :) It made me wore out to read all you have to do tonight! Sounds like lots of calorie burn!!

Chasing cows DEFINITELY gives you a workout and so burns calories. Been there, know that, and felt like I had run a marathon afterwards. :)
