YOU CAN'T EAT A WHOLE BIRTHDAY CAKE IN ONE BITE

I know many people do have goals listed on this website but do you actually check back on them from time to time? Does posting your goal on here do ANYTHING at all to motivate you to workout?

If not, you aren't doing it properly. Don't mean to sound mean but if you aren't getting results, then you need to try something new. Instead of just having one massive goal, break your goal down into smaller goals. Let's say, for example, that you want to lose 20 pounds. That's a lot of weight. You aren't going to lose that in a week, a month, and for some people, not even in a year. Make a small goal to lose 1 pound this week. Do everything in your power to make that goal happen. Since it's a much smaller goal, it's going to be much easier to accomplish.

Didn't accomplish even a one pound goal? Well then you need to look over your week and see what the problem was. Were you logging your food? Were you working out enough? Did you go out drinking both nights over the weekend? There is something that you can easily change in your diet. Do it and try for that goal again next week.

Once you get in the habbit of meeting mini-goals, you will be sneaking up on your big goal before you know it! I tried this and actually ended up passing up my big goal without even knowing it.

Not convinced? Think of it this way... It's your birthday and you have a big old birthday cake. Now let's pretend that birthday cake is a healthy food and you can eat all you want of it and not gain a pound. Wishful thinking, I know, but play along with me here people! How are you going to eat this birthday cake? You can't put the whole thing in your mouth now can you?? Nope. You are going to take small bites of it and eventually it will be all gone. It's the same thing with weight loss. Only looking at your large goal is going to leave you upset and disouraged.

If you need any help setting little goals for yourself or figuring out what you can change in your daily diet to make that one pound come off each week, let me know! I'd be more than happy to help!
