I am soooooooooooo depressed! What happened? I have been alternating running and elliptical EVERY morning before work! I have been eating clean foods and drinking water. This makes me want to QUIT all together! What is going on? I had a hysterectomy in May. Does this make it more difficult to lose weight? I am lost.
143.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 4.4 lb a week

maybe you just need to give it more time? Or try something new that might be it. But whatever you do you can't just give up because later on it'll be that much harder. And what is Elliptical?

i know the feeling, but you just keep going. just keep focused it will pay off. are you waying yourself daily, same time? did you eat something w/ tons of sodium? usually an easy on means an easy off, drink your water, it will go down plus some! think positive!

It is very possible to gain weight as you start excercising. You are building muscle which is heavier than fat. Stay focused. Soon you should start to feel the inches drop off..even if the woeight does not.Stay focused !

Don't give up even though it is so frustrating to do the right things and then see a gain. How are your muscles feeling? A little more toned? You may gain or stay the same as you gain muscle. It's ok though b/c muscle burns fat even as you rest. It's a good thing. Keep at it and soon the scale will cooperate in your favor.

Thank you so much for the support! I will stay active and quit weighing myself so often. This site is great! "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!"

You sound like you had a great workout week! Your scale will soon follow with a loss. Sometimes I just don't get it either...but all your hard work WILL pay off with a drop on that evil, mood busting scale! LOL! Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement you sent me last week. You too, are doing very well. Remember that it is not going to be immediate; I was guilty of weighing myself several times a day and would get depressed because my weight fluctuated. Just think to yourself that you are already on the path to undoing what you did and are already a great success! Don't know if this helps, but my aunt actually had a hysterectomy in May as well; she gained some weight shortly thereafter but worked out to get back to her pre-surgery weight.
