DessaLyn's Journal, 17 May 2013

It might seems minor, but I am proud of myself for not going overboarded at the conference yesterday. Conferences tend to have lots and lots of food, but I stayed healthy and drank coffee and water. No soda!! At all!! Not even diet! Usually, I'll drink a ton of soda, eat whatever the hell I want, etc., but I knew I wasn't going to be able to get any walking in, so...I monitored my diet. Yeah me!

Love that--victory! I have been overcoming a lot of old habits lately...quit smoking, quit biting my nails, quit drinking...I'm not sure why exactly. I woke up one day and said enough. And I had the same thing happen the other day, weighed one weigh at noght and less in the morning. I read somewhere that the body weight's fluculate by up to 5 pounds during the day.

It's great when everything in our personalities lines up and we're ready to take ourselves on and fight the battles we've been losing with our own weaknesses/habits. Good for you that you've been able to quit smoking, drinking, biting your nails. Every improvement is a victory! We can do this!!!
