Sherillynn's Journal, 12 April 2013

I have adopted KingKeld's mantra and I will NOT panic. Nope. Not gonna do it. I know that at the most, I gained a pound on vacation but I believe that most of my weight gain is water weight. I am even down 2# since yesterday. I will NOT panic!

I will get back on track and focus. I let myself rest yesterday too. We were walking 8-9 miles at the Parks and I was simply exhausted. The plane ride home always tires me out too.

Today, I will plan my meals out. I will head back to the gym and get to my regular work out schedule and above all, I will NOT panic. Honest, I won't!

An article I just read, not sure where, stated that one of the most important characteristics of successful dieters is to be able to persevere until the goal. I find that interesting. It sounds so simplistic and yet many of us, myself included, cannot seem to stick to the task. We have one setback and we hang it up. I have been continuing to persevere this time. I started January 1, which is notoriously a bad time, and I just keep plodding along.

Setbacks are OK. We have them in every aspect of life. So, why, with dieting, do we just give up so easily when looking and feeling better is such a great goal?

We got home just in time. Yesterday, we had 3 new calves. This starts up our busy season. I won't see much of my husband now until harvest! He keeps some long days and nights with calving and planting. Makes me so thankful for the trips to Florida and the time we get to spend alone.

Really thankful that spring is on the way despite the weather outside.
Thanksful for rain, coffee, and baby calves.

I hope you had a great time. I've been back from vacation almost a week now and I haven't weighed. I worked out while on vacation and I have since I have been home, I guess just a little nervous. But you are right, no panicing. It's all good.

Took the pups out for a nice walk on the trails this afternoon. The wind was a bit brisk but overall, it was very nice. No panicking. Just keep on walking! lol
