It is 1:30am and I am so glad that there is no junk food in the house. I am wide awake and listening to music, and I would love to munch right now. There was a time not too long ago when I would get in the car and go find something sinful to stuff in my mouth, but those days are behind me. I need to go to sleep.

You have my sympathy there. I HATE those times when sleep just wont come, and I hate the thoughts that can go through my head at such times! Compliments on the lack of junk food..... that cant be easy with kids in the house..... well with anyone else in the house. I have huge respect for all of you out there losing weight surrounded by 'food for others'. As for not going out to get some... I like your attitude of it being 'behind you now' but I think you really owe it to yourself to feel at least some pride in your self control! Please ENJOY every triumph! Reward yourself by feeling good EVERY time you overcome a craving, make yourself go to the gym when you dont feel like it, make a good food choice, ANYTHING. Not only does it make it easier to keep making those decisions but I think its only fair to balance out that nasty little thing called guilt that bites us all too easily and often out of proportion! If we are going to beat ourselves up every time we have some small lapse, then I want to see us dancing around the kitchen every time we dont!!!!!!!!! I bet we will all be dancing a hell of a lot more than we're not. Come on folks!! Lets be kind to ourselves and REALLY take note of all the 'good' bits and make this journey as rewarding as it can get. I want everyone dancing!!!!! In fact, Im off to start a post on this very subject I feel so strongly about it.

Those times are the worst, aren't they? I salute you for sticking to plan and NOT get anything. I'm proud of you. You're doing so well.:)

Oh yeah-I definitely think we need to be doing the happy dance when we DON'T have lapses! That's one of my difficulties, eating late at night. I'm an insomniac anyway, so the temptation is always there, but it's a habit I need to really work on ridding myself of because it does me NO favors. You CAN do this! We just have to fight it, eventually we'll conquer this too.
