I did not stick to my eating plan last weekend. This was my first real test for cookout/dinners/family gatherings. I was not prepared. I took a bite here and there. After that, I realize that I was eating the way I use to eat. I did not feel good about it but I didn't feel guilty either. This was a necessary challenge because I know now what to do if I'm invited to any outdoor activities/events where there is food being served. I need a small cooler so that way I can keep the things I like to eat on me, so I can have choice. I probably can taste a small portion of whats being cook but if I'm looking for a full serving I will have my food with me. Another lesson learn!

I love your attitude. Each step is about learning to be a new you, not a failure but an opportunity to try something and see if it works. I get stuck in the same trap when invited out - feeling as if I have no choice because I cannot insult the host, and everyone else is eating, and I don't want to look like I'm not participating. Oh, the lies I tell myself.
