Johanne's Journal, 17 August 2010

In case anyone checks out my diet calendar and thinks my proteins are too low, I've been asked to restrict protein because I have proteinuria, my creatinine serum is elevated and my eGFR is too low. If this continues I will be diagnosed with chronic kidney disease . . . scary. My Dr.s want to see if protein restriction will help. I don't want to go on another medication. I'm already on too many. I'm hoping the way I'm eating will help me drop some of the meds. Growing old sucks, but the alternative is worse! LOL.
