Today is not the first day of my diet--excuse me, lifestyle change--I began at 275lb. at the beginning of June, and am down to 245 (wow, somehow my starting weight looks a lot closer to 300 than it does in my head). I'm proud of what I have accomplished so far, but I am finding that I am running out of motivation, especially in regards to exercise, despite the positive physical and mental benefits I have experienced. I am hoping to retain that motivation by staying in contact with a group of people who are serious about getting healthy. I recently moved to Texas from North Carolina, and have decided that since I'm changing my location completely I ought to change my life completely. Unfortunately, I have not been here long enough to make friends, so I'm giving this cyber-motivation a try.

Welcome, I think you will find the support to keep you going @ FS. I have been a member for a little over a week and this is the best support site I have seen. Looks like you've done great on your own but I know how a move or any major life change can be a challenge. I'm still in NC and driving to Raleigh (around 3 hours) for the day tomorrow to a meeting. I'm packing my snacks and water then heading for the big city! Hope your "lifestyle change" (I like to call it that too) goes well this week. Again, welcome!

Welcome to FS. I have a hard time with exercise myself but have discovered I actually like doing it in "little pieces" at a time. I do "sink push ups" when I'm in the kitchen I do about 10 of them each time i go into the kitchen for something. I do 10 squats just before sitting myself down in a chair, I do some leg lifts on the floor while watching a tv show. I find I can fit it in easier that way and it doesn't require me setting a block of time aside that I find boring. You have done great already, so you have got it moving in the right direction.
