Well here I am again after a period of non activity. I was doing a Jillian michaels circuit training video and things were going fine until one day I felt something happen in my back / shoulder. I gave it a rest but sure enough, a few days later I could not get out of bed without help. That was almost 5 weeks ago. I stopped exercising and I'm not sure what went wrong, but I gained back all the weight I had lost. I don't even want to get on the scale because I probably gained even more.

I'm just beginning to recover. My shoulder is okay now but it feels really weird when I move my arm. It hurts a bit and I feel numbness in my hand. I'm going to make an appointment to find out what happened exactly, and what to do about it.

This is a setback. I'm not sure why injuring myself seems to trigger a diet rebellion in me. The only thing I can do now that I'm coming back to my senses is try not to look back, and just move ahead. At least I know I am capable of losing weight. I have to start again. It's going to be okay.

I had close to the same thing happen. I have also done some research and come to the conclusion that doing workouts that hurt your body that much is not healthy. I have decided to stick with workouts I like. Makes it easier to get motivated, and your body doesn't have to dread every day. I enjoy dance workouts. They are fun and burn calories. I got all three of my kids in the room, turned on music, and we did our own dances, we all had fun, and I was sweating and had a good workout. Stretching exercises make you feel great too. Like classical stretch, or yoga. We are in this together. Let's see what we can accomplish :-)

I'm finally back. I can't believe what this injury did to me physically and emotionally. It has taken me a long time to work up the strength to start watching my diet and making an effort to lose weight again. I'm going to try again.
