Sherillynn's Journal, 23 March 2013

This surely isn't a revelation to most of you but to me, it's new and exciting. I've started the treadmill on a 5 degrgee incline and I gotta say, I feel it!

Prior to this, I have been just walking around the track for 60 minutes at a time and throwing in some weights here and there. I won't say I LIKE the treadmill but it is serving its purpose.

I feel the burn in the back of my legs when I am finished and again the ache in the morning when I wake up. It must be working. Right?

Yesterday, all of the treadmills were in use when I went to the Fitness Center. I didn't want to waste any time so I got on one of the stationary bikes-- another new experience for me. I did 15 minutes on Level 2 Fat Burning. I pushed my way through to the end.

You know what? I never thought I could do these things! I CAN! I am not breaking any records here but I feel accomplished. I feel more fit. I feel thinner. And if you want to know the truth, this morning I do feel old! I have muscles aching that have been in dormancy for years.

I will return and do it again today. This is aan entire new world opening up to me. There are lots of things in that gym I've never tried.

Thankful for the new drive to do them!
Also thankful that for the Fitness facility we have in our little small town.
Thankful for the people that are encouraging me on this project.
Mostly, I am thankful to be healthy and alive and able to make a choice to change my lifestyle.
