My breakfast this morning was only about 200 calories- and it was not only TASTY but SUBSTANTIAL. I really felt like I ate a full meal. Plus, there was a good balance between protein, fat and carbs (and I'm talking the whole grain/veggie good carbs). And I got to eat BACON! It really frustrates me to see so many of my friends and co-workers practically starve themselves to lose weight when it's so unnecessary. Instead of that bag of chips and diet cola for lunch, how about soup and a sandwich? Or that tiny little container of yogurt for breakfast.. try an egg beater omelette loaded with veggies. Okay, I'll climb down from my soapbox now. But really, I do so love being able to eat yummy things, feel like I've eaten full meals and be able to lose weight doing it. Once I get going with the healthy foods- I crave them over the bad for me stuff. I'd rather have some dark chocolate and fresh blueberries than any chocolate chip cookie or milkshake right now (cookies and ice cream being my two worst offenses in the past).
