New Stove Update: on friday the repair man came out and looked at the stove...said the the computer fried (probably from a power surge), even though we have a whole house surge pertector...and that made the broiler come on and stay on...so............

friday night we went looking - i wanted gas and hubby wants electric...so after arguing for what seemed like forever we went home...on saturday clint found a dual fuel - gas burners and electric oven...so that is what we bought...YEAH...YEAH...it has the five burners with the grill/griddle built in and the double ovens...on the down side it will not be here until sunday, july 27th...so for now cooking with a hot plate and toaster oven...

sunday was a family reunion - so needless to say i strayed alot this weekend...2 days of shopping and eating out and 1 family reunion with really old people cooking really good fating/loaded foods...

Two sides to every coin! Sounds like a great find, and you won't regret having that nice control on the cook top and some temp dependability in the oven. Do you have a crock pot anywhere hidden in the house? I'm thinking of digging mine out because Bully has developed some really nice recipes.

i do have a crock pot...the only issue i have with it is that you have to plan ahead...and i am lucky to have dinner thawed out and cooked by 8:30 pm when clint gets home...lol...

Oooo... the stove sounds AWESOME! Way to compromise! Weekends of "fun" are tough on the scales... keep on kickin' it up! :)

You are way too cute! As soon as I was reading your dilemma I thought to myself, "Why not the kind of stove that does both?" Guess you found it already! They make such wonderful stoves these days. I love my convection part of my stove, never used one before and didn't know what I was missing. Have a great week friend!

your journals always sound so cheerful no matter what is happening to you... stove goes out.. no problem! go shopping and find the right one. If only we could handle those maily gathering type meals where all the food is the old fashioned fattening stufff as easily as you did the stove delima. You've done so well, no doubt you will take care of it this week.
