So I've lost 13 lbs so far.

Pretty impressive considering that I just started a new job and went through finals and it hasn't been a month yet since I embarked on this new lifestyle. The wii actually gave me the lowest weight I've ever gotten from it this morning and that includes the period before I went on a two month ice cream binge, lol.

It's a relief to be back in the 250s. I know, I know, it's not great but at least it's closer to where I used to be and I don't feel like the slug I was in the 270s (which just scared me so much. I didn't think I'd gotten that out of control.) Noticed some slack today in my new work pants. I can fit my droid and my giant keys in my pocket with room to spare, which I couldn't do when I bought them a few weeks back. I'm a very comfortable size 20/22 at the moment which means I can at least avoid going into Lane Bryant since I can find enough at Kohl's and Old Navy to wear in the meantime. I swear though, I WILL get back into my stuff from NY & Company, hopefully before it gets cold.

I think I haven't been eating enough recently. The job threw a lot of stuff off and it's been a busy time so I've kind of been on 1200-1300 calories a day when I wasn't working out. I think I might've cut it too low and stalled out the weight loss a little.

I also need to figure out how to eat more at work during the day. I'm usually starving an hour before I leave. I picked up some granola bars and am going to keep them in my work bag. If anyone has any good ideas for things that wouldn't go bad quickly (ie no fresh fruit or needing refrigeration) feel free to share them. I like the concept of cereal bars but I think so many of them have way too much sugar. I also know a lot of them aren't as healthy as they seem.

Have decided when I get to 25lbs lost I'm buying a new iPod. I want one that holds pretty much ALL my music (my current one is an 1st gen nano that only goes up to 2 GB). I have at least 9 gb of music in my iTunes so updating my iPod is a bitch. I prefer my droid for workouts but I'd like something for work/home/the car that holds everything. Feel free to drop suggestions.

the old saying "Patience my ass" is so true when it comes to losing weight. It sounds like you are doing great by analyzing your hunger patterns and figuring out a game plan to make it work. A new ipod is a wonderful reward. I love my Ipod as it really helps me with my cardio exercise. TOWANDA!!

Thanks, hon. It's just kind of frustrating because I want to be there already - although I did notice that there's clearly some kind of physical changes (inches) if the pounds aren't necessarily going away.

Not great?! Are you kidding me??!! It IS great that you're back in the 250s! As far as the snack thing, I remember reading a forum post a while back where someone's snacks/lunch were always going bad in her car, so someone else suggested bringing a little cooler. Instead of ice, freeze a couple of bottles of water & put them in with your food. By the time you're ready to eat it, it's still nice & cold plus you have some wonderfully icy bottles of water to go with it! I've found that during the school year when I'm busier I often have to schedule times to eat, because I have a tendency to put it off. I even have a 30 min. period permanently blocked off on my Outlook calendar @ work. It's not permanent in that I do shuffle it around sometimes, but I don't allow myself to delete it because I absolutely have to eat. Love the 25 lbs reward! I have decided when I make it to 20 I get a new purse. :D
