The scale can be a little scary. But it also can be your best friend. Against what most people say, I weigh myself everyday. It helps keep you on track. If you have been following Atkins Induction to the letter you will probably be happily surprised when you weigh in.

thank you i have been lately. I did not track my veggies for some reason i over looked that they had carbs in them. SoI think i will weigh myself in the morning.

Hi! I just wanted to mentioned--please be careful with eating the Atkins bars and shakes. I've learned that there are MANY people who's bodies can't handle them. Their weight loss either stalls or reduces greatly, even with only one or two servings a day...sometimes even with only one or two servings a week! Also,if I may make a suggestion...I noticed that you were using 6 of your 20 daily induction carbs on sugar free coffee creamer, as well as more for the shake/bar. To do Atkins "correctly" you should be using minimum of 12-15 carbs a day in fresh allowable vegetables. When I finally started doing that, myself, it made a huge difference! Not trying to be preachy here, just passing on some info that I hope helps!

I agree RavenSoul69. I also have noticed how much of a difference it makes when you really FOLLOW THE RULES. (Yelling at myself here... :) I have to periodically re-read Dr A's New Diet Revolution in an effort to renew my mind about my goals here. Never really been too far off into chubbyland and I have a really strong desire to tough it out so through each phase so that I can be healthy and stable for life.

Thank you both so much, I wondered about using the creamer but was not sure. I just reread the sugar free mix I was putting into my water and found out I added 4 extra carbs that I did not know about. So now I am kind of bummed out, but I will try again tomorrow. I am going to weigh myself and see if it has even moved a notch on the scale. I keep rereading the book but I think I must be overlooking a lot of things.

I think the shakes are messing me up as well. I have been having one for breakfast every morning and I have only lost 1/2 pound in 2 weeks. In addition to a visit to the gym each day. This isn't my first atkins rodeo so I'm supper bummed and trying not to give up!

Oh, great job writing everything down! Motivation for me to tighten up in that area a bit.

I agree with what the ladies above stated so no need to say it again. I also noticed that when I used the Atkins stuff my weight loss tended to slow down or stall. When I had my WLS I had to begin drinking protein shakes. They are great. 160 cals, 30 grams for protein and 1-2 grams of carbs. I tend to stay away from the Atkins foods other then a quick snack on the run. It is much too easy to follow a low carb diet without buying into the products. Although some of their frozen dinners that have just come out are great and good for those times when you want something more but do not have the time.
