Rowanfair's Journal, 21 February 2013

Got through the first day of fat fast. It is only a couple hundred calories less than what I usually eat but I definitely was hungrier off and on during the day than on a normal low carb diet. Guess my body wants its protein. I was starving at 9:30pm but just went to bed and ignored it.

This morning the scale says 179.8 (vs 182.2 yesterday) so not kicking about that. And the ketostix was light purple. So by Friday night I should be well into ketosis and can get back to meat and veg. Which is good as I have a date to go to a pub Saturday to dance to a 60s British Invasion retro band and I love their lamb with goat cheese and olive tapenade.

Onward to victory or whatever it is we do around here.
