110 days til Disney! So the author of Ultrametabolism is Dr. Mark Hyman (here you go Cookie!)
I'm in the Preparation week, where I have to start cutting out EVERYTHING!!! :) I'm just kidding, sort of. The point of the first few weeks is to cut out all foods that could potentially be causing an allergy or resistance of some kind. So no caffeine or sugar(eeeeekkkkkk!!), no gluten, eggs, dairy, etc. This is going to be really hard at first as I am such a highly digestible carb addict!! but I think it could also be very beneficial as my body reacts very funny to a lot of things. I have ridiculously sensitive skin, caffeine makes me sleepy but sleeping pills make me hyper, and any sort of mood relaxant or anti-depression medication makes me extremely paranoid.
So if my body can react that badly to that stuff maybe there is a food allergy hiding somewhere. If not you add these things back slowly so it's not like I'm going without them forever.
My positive thing today is that I'm very confident that if I stick closely to this new eating plan, I will find out something useful about my body!
