BuffyBear's Journal, 18 February 2013

This is to answer your questions from yesterday: The puppy had been put outside at 3 AM and left on the front porch. I couldn't sleep because I could hear him crying. I confronted the owner (around 7:30 AM) and she said she didn't want him and that I could have him. Well, I knew I couldn't keep him but I couldn't just leave him out in the cold either. Would you have?

I often work 10 hour days and DH works out of town so there is no way I could keep him. So now I am working hard to find him a good home.

As I already knew, you are a good soul, Buffy! Puppies are a lot of work, but so damn cute -- I remember when ours was a puppy, I'd often think it was a good thing she was so cute cuz she was so demanding! Hope you're able to find yours a good home & that you can enjoy being a temporary foster mommy! Xoxox

Ruhu - Yes, they are more work than a baby aren't they? And you don't know the half of it - one of my cats is on a hunger strike!

This sounds like the Oreo story. You and Bren are such good souls.

Awww Buffy I'm sure you will find him a good home - we are not the type of people to just to shrug our shoulders and walk away.....

Heather & Tracy - If you could have heard crying out in the cold you would have done the same.

Buffy you are NOT stupid...you have a big heart and do the right thing...I took Oreo the the vets and paid a fee for neutering him and they found him a good home..I had to give him a chance..but this little puppy should not be your responsibility...but I know you will do your best in finding him a good home..I still can't get over this other person being such an arse...makes me want to tie a knot in his/her tail...bad person..bad....:O)

Well, all I can say is, you did & are doing what is best & bless you for it too. Poor puppy. He would probably have his forever home if I found him, even though he's a boy...LOL! The hardest part is getting in my door, but once there, oh, darn it, I am a softie at heart. Good luck to you in finding a home quick! I'll be happy to give Bren a hand in some tail-tied-lesson-giving-"fun".
