Found fast secret.com on the Atkins diet blog. I've been on the induction phase for 5 weeks, lost over 5 pounds in the first three weeks, and now I've put back over two pounds. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Possibilities are under eating ( I have lost my appetite), not drinking enough water (I never drink enough), or hidden sugars that I'm not aware of (maltodextrun in sugar free Metamucil????? - I stopped taking it a few days ago, and still my weight hasn't budged). Any help or advice out there??? Thanks Sara

It could be a bunch of factors. Atkins can cause constipation and bloat in many people, so make sure your drinking water/liquids and getting enough vegetables. It could be hormones, medications, illness, lack of sleep, etc. So many things cause our bodies to retain water. If you had a high sodium day, the next day may show a temporary gain. Exercise can cause muscles to temporarily retain water. Our weight will naturally fluctuate from hour to hour. Tomorrow you may be down 3 pounds. You don't have much to lose, so it may come off slower. Stick with it.
