I'm getting really frustrated with my family. They give me absolutely no support whatsoever. I try really hard to eat healthy but they have to have sweets and junk food and I'm just not strong enough not to eat it if it's in the house. If I only buy healthy and low cal snacks they eat so much that it only lasts a day or two. I bought some 90 cal granola bars and Snackwells 100 cal packs and my boyfriend ate 4 or 5 a day while complaining about it the whole time because I didn't buy cookies or snack cakes or ice cream. He won't drink lowfat milk, won't eat anything that says fat free on it and the kids are almost as bad as he is. I can't afford to buy separate food for me and them. Ok I'm done with my rant now. On a better note I losyt 2.9 lbs last week. I didn't go to zumba last week because my pms was brutal but I went last night and I'm going back tonight and hopefully Thursday.

Hang in there girl! I take my snacks to work and keep them in a drawer. I carry what I need for the day in my purse. Also, instead saying "no, I can't eat that" to the junk food, say "no I don't want to eat that". Replacing can't with don't makes a difference.

IHi--I had that same problem in my household--You know what I did? I got a rubber container that has a place for a lock(small one) and put all my stuff in there and locked it--hid the key and yes--bought them their double stuff oreos, etc--but I never would go in that cupboard--just an idea

the truth is weight loss is a solitary journey. You have to motivate yourself. Yea, it's nice to have support, but unless the whole house is on a diet, you can't expect people to give up all the foods they love. I started by lower fat milk. If that's all you have, that's what they will learn to drink. Hide your snacks so no one will eat them or put labels on them that says they are yours and "please do not eat." You gotta do what you gotta do! There are great sites with great recipes that the whole family will love. Emilybites.come , Skinnykitchen.com, Skinnytaste.com, Skinnykitchen.com They got recipes for break, lunch and dinner, dessert and appetizers. No one will know they are lightened up. You want your kids to be healthy so start limiting their sweets. I tell mine, this is what you have for the week, when it's gone ...it's gone...I cut up veggies and fruit for them. I make fruit shakes. Slowly make changes and they will learn to adapt. They might fight you at first, but keep at it. Good luck!
