I cannot believe how much better I feel already. Just a few months ago I felt so bad I thought there must be something drastic wrong with me and now I have so much more energy and so much less pain. Each day I feel better. The last couple of days I felt slightly hungry when I went to bed because I have not eaten the full amount of calories I was allotted for the day, but I did not want to eat more, right before bed. I knew once I went to sleep I would be fine :) Tonight instead of going to bed hungry and with only having eaten around 700 calories for the day, I ate a whole bag of kettle corn popcorn! Bringing my total for the day to just under 1000 calories. I know that I cannot keep that level up but seriously I have not been trying to do it. I have more energy than I have had in a long long time so I know that my body is ok with it, for now. Like I said I have not been trying to keep my calories this low. I have just not needed the extra food. And since I do need and enjoy the energy and the motivation I will continue to go with how my body feels for now. You can never tell when my body is going to need the extra fuel again. BTW I am a nurse, have studied nutrition and fitness for years so I know all the things someone might say, but I am not starving myself, really.:) Positive comments are welcome :)

I read your Profile and now todays journal so I feel like I know you a little better. I too have lower calorie days I don't see the point in eating just because you didn't reach a number that day. I also understand about the back problems I was born with issues and have had problems off and on all my life. You sound like you've got a pretty good handle on things right now. Have a good day.

For the past few days I have found myself not eating the full amount of allotted calories for the days while on other days I have consumed the entire amount.. I'll agree with you - we aren't starving ourselves, we just aren't that hungry. :)

Glad to hear I am not the only one and some others understand :) I usually don't have this "issue" if you can call it that. I love to eat and I am eating, what feels like a lot :) In the past when I have tried to lose weight I have been focused so much on the food and hungry all the time. I like this new "problem" LOL Addie; I too have had back issues my entire life with pain everyday. It had gotten much better with massage therapy but the last several months of last year it got worse and in October it was so bad that I could hardly walk and had to quit my job. I am glad I had a little savings but now it is gone an I will have to go back to work very soon.
