Donna Mashburn's Journal, 30 April 2019

Went to the Cardiologist yesterday and he was happy with my recovery thus far. Took me off two meds and will see me in 3 months. I told him now I want to get this extra weight off of me and he gave me a vote of confidence. So yesterday I started an attempt at a keto diet. You don't realize how much sweet stuff and starches you're eating until you go to reach for it and stop cause you realize you can't have it. Ouch. I'm hoping this turns out well for me.

Diet Calendar Entries for 30 April 2019:
1013 kcal Fat: 65.41g | Prot: 67.58g | Carb: 40.34g.   Breakfast: Coffee-Mate Original Powder Creamer, Coffee (Brewed From Grounds), Duke's Mayonnaise, Bumble Bee Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water (2 oz). Lunch: Ruth's Pimento Cheese, Celery, Pink Lady Apples, Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter, Polly-O String Cheese. Dinner: Venison/Deer Steak, Hidden Valley The Original Ranch, Lettuce Salad with Cheese, Tomato and/or Carrots. more...

You can do it. Don't be too hard on yourself. It is about progress not perfection. My advice is to plan your diet around your protein food and to prelog foods so you get an idea of how many carbs are involved. Good luck Donna. And congratulations with the good news from your Cardiologist.

Donna, there are so many Keto experts on this site. Ask for advice and you will receive their help. Your health is critical to your wellness(as I am sure you know). Please stick with it! Some of us practice other ways of eating. You decide. The results are definitely worth it! Good luck!!💗
