So it wasn't until monday that my legs no longer hurt. Unfortunately with the crazy holiday schedule I did not get a chance to go to the gym. I'm hoping I'll start again tomorrow.
So I was very proud of myself for keeping to my diet 98% of the holiday season (so far). I had a few extra glasses of wine one or two of the days and I allowed myself a few (homemade dark chocolate) truffles on christmas day but that was about it! yay! I'm hoping to maintain sticking to the diet the rest of this week and starting back hardcore next wednesday (after the new year). I better start planning my meals and getting a grocery list together.. that is the "hard" part really.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Congrats!!! I did pretty good too.

Congratulations! I am not suffering too badly for the 'cheats' that I allowed myself and feeling pretty proud. Like you I am getting together my menu and list...checking the cupboards and freezers for what I have and what I need.

Sounds like "we" are hanging in there the best we can.. I like you all did a little cheat nothing too big.. I will say I am struggling mentally to stay on point thru the weekend.
I am going to do like you all and begin to look thru the cabinets and get it together for next week..
Stpierrem1.. I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that red wine hasn't the lowest carb count.. A few glasses of wine sounds good to me right now.. I had a glass of champagne for Christmas and I wanted more....

BBD5 - dry wines in general have the least carbs (about 3g per serving)and "off dry" wines have from 5-6g per serving. sweet wines like moscato have about 8. So technically my wine was an off dry so it could have been worse.. but i could have gone with only one glass! (more information at: http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/alcbev.htm)
