I guess I just have to face the fact that LCHF is not going to get me any weight loss. I'm really good! On to Plan C

My 18-year old daughter is home from college for Christmas. I have never gone 3 months without her before, and it is so fun to have her home. We went to Jalapeño Inferno (our favorite Scottsdale Mexican Restaurant) last night for dinner. We sat on the patio, me cowering under the heater, she in a light sweater remarking on how warm it is. I guess it all perspective. You buddies from snowy places would probably be like her. It was 65 degrees. Yes.

Anyway, I passed on the chips, margaritas, tortillas, rice, beans, anything with carbs. I ordered steak fajitas and thoroughly enjoyed them with sour cream and guacamole. I think that is deserving of a result on the scale, but apparently not. I don't think LCHF is right for me for weight loss, but now I know exactly how to maintain!

Try to hang in there. I too follow Atkins induction faithfully and see slow loss or this week increase! Talk about discouraging. Trust the process. The body is busy moving things around and processing. It's more than pounds. Inches and overall resetting of how we burn energy is happening too. I am going to stay with it and try to trust the process as it works for so many people. Good luck. And I think I will go have some of those fajitas for lunch!

Ok, I had that same thinking about giving it time, but I haven't lost an ounce in 2 months. And my clothes aren't looser, and my waist measurement is the same. I don't trust the process anymore. I'm reading up on intermittent fasting now, going to give it a try this week. I don't think people believe just how good I am at this, carbs barely pass my lips!

Mexican food will do it because of the salt every time.
