I’m so discouraged. I’m keeping under 1200, moving non stop, eating all cleanfoods and 3 weeks later I don’t see it. Almost a month. Im still at 135 what gives?

Sometimes going under 1200 cal for too long can make your metabolism all wack and your body will want to store the food for energy because you’re not eating enough. maybe try upping your calories a bit, at-least to your BMR, and make your workouts more intense

My best guess is that u are human, us humans make mistakes u might think u are tracking it all but that may very well not be the case.

Ok, are u tracking ur intake before u eat. Are u using a scales n cups to measure

Are u counting the little bites and licks, the sips and small pieces u eat

Are u counting the oils, butters, juice, all that healthy stuff that’s so fatting like nuts, vegetables, fruits, etc?

What gives, the only thing that matters on a weight loss journey is calorie deficit, are u 100% sure u are on a calorie deficit? 🧐🤔

Your body is not a machine. Adjustments in how it processes food takes time. It does not happen overnight or even a month. It adapts to what you are feeding it. But it does so on a cellular level, not on-and-off switches. Many here have found that adding 100 or 200 calories per day after a month or longer stall was the key to making the body happier with what it was dealing with. It gets a little extra boost and then it realizes it is not being starved or weaned away from the sustenance it needs to continue living successfully. While your goal is to lose weight, your body's goal is to stay alive. Have you tried adding a few calories? Give it a week of adding a few back ... maybe at breakfast or early lunch. A couple of strips of bacon, maybe? A string cheese or two? A little peanut butter on Akmak? You may be pleasantly surprised.

If you have high sugar intake levels that could also be why. With the foods that you eat check how much sugar you intake. The norm for an adult is 25 g per day for a female and 30g per day for a male.. if it’s higher.. it may be what’s causing you trouble.. not necessarily but possible

I eat way more calories than that with almost no sugar intake and loosing weight pretty well. Try it

I agree with New York, it does not take that much of a high deficit to lose weight.

Right?! The more sugary stuff you eat, even it’s healthy but you don’t eat it in moderation, the higher your sugar levels, and if that’s the case it stores the fat so you won’t loose any. I’m not al the knowledgeable but look it up. Good luck!!

I agree about u don’t need such a large deficit but not about the sugar

1200 cals is pretty low. I personally try to stay around 700 though, and when I go a few days without even dropping an ounce I call it a ´plateau'. Your body isnt retaining enough nutrition so it slows your metabolism. Once a month or so I try to eat up to 2000 calories, give or take a few, and it makes me feel terrible, but it throws your body out of that sort of starvation mode. This is normally for people whose diet includes heavy restricting, but in your case I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Good luck!

I looked at your log .Your eating is great.... the problem I see is how many calories are coming from alcohol. You average almost 350-400 every day. Your body doesnt recognize that same as food. It messes up how your liver functions and processes other foods. Replace those calories with food and you will starting dropping.

If your taking alcohol consistently That will be why because it takes longer to burn off luckily enough I only have a drink every 2 weeks but it takes over a week to lose the calories

I agree with the alcohol, because it just seems to slow down the metabolism. Also, you might need to change things up a bit to "surprise" your body. Maybe eat more calories for just 1 day, then go back to the 1200 calories so it acts more like another jump start. I don't know if your body operates like mine, but I have trouble loosing weight if I eat yogurt. Don't know why, but I loose weight easier when I stop the yogurt. Also, I have to exercise harder than other people. Yard activity doesn't seem to help me loose weight, but kickboxing does.
