Start a new job on Monday. Only a Christmas temp job, but I really need the money so anything will do right now. I'm a bit worried about it though, not sure how worried I need to be. Well, it's 2-10 shifts but I don't think that'll be too much of a problem with my eating schedule. Have something to eat before I set off and get a break around 6ish so that's pretty normal times anyway. The thing I'm worried about is it's a desk job and it's too far to walk so I'll be taking the bus. Every other job I've had has had me on my feet all day, quite a few times in pretty big factories so I'll have covered a fair distance by the time the shift's over.

I haven't been jogging since Wednesday I think, figure I'm doing ok enough without it. I have been doing a lot of walking. I dunno, will jogging a mile in 10 minutes have a similar burn rate as walking a mile in 20 minutes? When I go for a jog it's typically 20 or 30 minutes but as I say I've been doing a lot of walking so maybe the jog is a drop in the ocean. This week at least, I'll see how I feel next week.

We all need something to look forward to. This is my big one:

I've been a few times and last time I was there I must've been around 100lb heavier so I'm curious to see how much better I cope this time. Last time it was a struggle. It was a scorcher, I really struggled with the heat. The place is massive and it's not like you can get a taxi from stage to stage. I absolutely love the place though, it's my favourite place I've ever been to. I suppose it is a bit of an endurance test in a way, I just want to be fit for it.

GLASTONBURY. I am so jealous of you. I grew up in southern California and went to Coachellafest (our version of Glastonbury) every year from 13-19. It's been a few years from me since I moved away. You clearly have good taste in music!

Oh, I'd love to go to Coachella! Glastonbury is amazing though, I absolutely love it. Last time I went to Glastonbury the headliners were Gorillaz, Muse and Stevie Wonder no idea where else you're gonna get diversity like that. I don't even care who's there, I could go and not see any bands and have a great weekend, I just love the atmosphere of the place. I'm sure you must have good taste in music too, any favourites?

When does the lineup for next year's Glastonbury come out? Ahh, I love Muse, are they incredible when they do a live show? Muse is playing the day before my birthday in Las Vegas, which is only 3 hours from where I live, so I'm considering going in March. Coachellafest 2004 was my favorite, because I'm a die hard Radiohead fan and they headlined that year. Their show was beyond description, and they even played Creep for the first time in a live show in ages. My other favorites are Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Shins, Elliott Smith, Interpol, Deathcab, Vampire Weekend, and a huge list of others who of course escape me at the moment. I could talk music for ages.

The lineup won't be out till around easter, never is. I love Muse's earlier stuff but I've gone off them a bit lately, they're a brilliant live band though. For three guys they make some noise, I'll give em that. Apparently at their own shows they have loads of effects and stuff which you can't really pull off at festivals so well which is a shame, but they're definitely worth seeing. Seen em three times, myself. Seen Radiohead a couple of times too, 2003 and 2008. Haven't seen Creep though, favourites I've had are Optimistic, Lucky and Airbag. I'd love to see Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I've seen The Shins and Interpol a couple of times though. Not too familiar with Deathcab For Cutie or Vampire Weekend though. Off the top of my head, my favourites are Manic Street Preachers, Velvet Underground/Lou Reed, David Bowie, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Bjork... Heh, I could talk music for ages too.
