BG 106 ; Well it's 8:40 am and 51 degrees. It looks like it's going to continue to be another wet and cloudy day. BUT I'm doing well and my mother's energy seems to be improving and the stress of the last few days is better. I'll be spending my day catching up on things and to each I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Glad that things are getting better. And that is great news about your mom's energy. And your bg looks great!! Sorry you have ben stressed, I didn't know, or I would have been more attentive. Been a little odd around here. I awoke to thunderstorms again this morning. Don't think I will ever get the grass mowed. It is never dry enough. It is supposed tobe incredibly hot starting tomorrow, so I may try tonight if it ever dries up!!! If not, guess I'll be mowing in the early morning or late in the evening!!

Thanks Stef! Not to worry. It's been a strange week starting for me at least last Friday I think. Just family stuff mostly. I remember when I mowed our grass when I lived out of town with my ex husband, about 16 years ago I think. He refused to mow or do any outside upkeep so it was up to me. I had to pick up pinecones, twigs and big sticks before I could mow the enormous yard. It usually took me an hour an a half total and I know what you mean when it's been wet. When it was finally dry enough to mow I had to get it done right away or it might rain again lol. Now in an apartment complex there's no upkeep outside for me but then I wouldn't be able to anyways. It's all I can do to take care of me! <smiles> Good luck with the mowing :)

Ha-ha! I sent some Seattle weather your way! What's really bad is it's the middle of June, and when I go outside, I can still see my breath. Happy June-uary!

BG is short for Blood Glucose. I'm diabetic 2 so I use my BG meter every morning to see how I'm doing in keeping in it under control. When I was 1st dxd I wasn't real bad yet (thank my doctor for that). I was only about 130 or so most mornings. Yet, those numbers are pretty damaging. If you read up on diabetes 2 you'll find at 1st there are no symptoms really. That comes later as it damages the body. There are people walking around with diabetes and don't even know it. Actually Barb, I imagine most people don't know what BG means unless they're in the health field or know a diabetic. My goal is to get as close to 80 as possible without meds. I'm still on metformin because without it I still have spikes. My mom lost one of her big toes last year and almost lost her foot this year to diabetes. :)
