Eringiffin's Journal, 01 November 2012

My little dog is sick. I slept on the couch with her last night to watch and make sure I didn't have to take her to the emergency vet. Now I am wiped out. This is going to be a long day, *yawn*.

Came home from the salon yesterday and DH was so tired he didn't even notice my new hair. Oh well. By the time I got home all the trick or treaters had gone home. We have a ton of left overs, ugh. Since I am consulting at a health food company I don't really feel like I can bring it into the office, either. I guess I will send it home with folks after game night on Saturday. Until then, I am going to hide it in the basement. At least I will have the flight of stairs to deter me from snacking on it.

Today I am thankful for coffee. I am thankful this week is almost over. I am thankful that I did all my laundry during the week so that this weekend I can have more free time.

Aww - bless her little heart! I know she has been ill - so I hope the vet can help her to feel better. And, you take care.

Is it a crime to put the candy in the dumpster? It would be way too risky for me to keep it even one day. Just throw it away, nobody needs it. About your dog...I can hear the concern in your words, poor little thing. And poor you, too.

Candy has its place, as a treat, every once in a while, when you're not trying to lose weight. My friends that come to game night are the sort that can eat anything and never gain weight so more power to them. Plus candy that isn't in my direct line of sight is not that much of a temptation for me. I'd much rather have a warm sourdough roll with real butter, lol. It's more dangerous for me to have crackers in the house than candy. And, I still haven't gotten back down to my low before the pub crawl so I am highly motivated to stick to the plan. I have got to get out of the 230's!

I like it all! But I'm with you on the bread, I could make a meal of it! You have a basement in Phoenix?

I know, right? I love having the basement and it even has a vaulted ceiling. It was one of the things that sold me on this place. The washer and dryer are down there so I get a lot of exercise on laundry days.

I wonder if you can donate candy to a food pantry. It's a food. Sorta.

And it's non-perishable... somehow I doubt it, though. Maybe if I hide it in a box of canned goods. ;)
