Triumph's Journal, 22 August 2007

So these past couple of days I have been slipping up and my motivation is decreasing. Even though I just want to lose 15 pounds, it seems soo hard for me to lose 1 then 2 and so on. I have gained a few pounds back and I am so frustrated. I recently went on phase 2 and I feel like it might be even harder to shed the weight. Who knows, maybe it will help me because most of the phase 2 stuff is less fattening (at least what I eat). I am working out consistently-but things are not coming together. Could there possibly be a plateou? period before pounds are shed? Am I still building muscle even though these workouts have been happening for over a month now? Please help me understand or come up with something that makes sense. Thanks.

I think your right on with your notion about gaining muscle and shedding fat! How are your clothes fitting? Perhaps your just being a little impatient. Try going back on Phase 1 again for about a week and see if that helps the stubborn pounds! Good Luck! I know you can do this.:=)

Don't let the scale be your only measure. Do you feel better? Are your close fitting better or perhaps even getting loose? Have you lost inches? There is alot to factor in besides that dreaded scale. Don't get discouraged, you are worth the effort. It's possible that you have hit a plateau and it might take a little more effort to break past it. Watch your sodium intake, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and stick your tongue out at the scale.
