After being a "chubby girl", on overweight teen, and a body-conscious adult; I finally managed to lose a little over 18 pounds in the past months... and it feels great! But I still want to loose a little bit more.

I underwent many changes in my life which helped this happen. To begin it all, I moved out of the family house to another city for grad school. I now live on my own and I am responsible for what goes in the fridge and what I eat. During my first semester I was very strict and rarely ate baking goods, bread, tortillas, etc. And maxed out on the veggie side!! After a strict diet I decided to let in some carbs and as I have always had a sweet tooth, I sometimes give in...give time!

I hope this site helps me figure out my DRI and be able to eat good tasty food without totally banning regular food. Especially since I'm moving back to the family house for the summer.
